Notes:

  1. The capacity above is calculated with medium-hard limestone under continuous feeding. For hard rock like basalt or quartzite, the actual output needs to be reduced by 20%–40%.
  2. Small mobile jaw crusher (portable type) usually adopts PE250×400 / PE400×600 host, with 10%–20% lower capacity than fixed version due to chassis vibration limit.
  3. If the feed contains a lot of fine powder or sticky wet stone, throughput will drop obviously.

  1. Rock compressive strength: Higher hardness means lower crushing efficiency.
  2. Feed size: Raw material larger than the maximum feed opening will cause frequent blockage and reduce production.
  3. Closed side setting: Smaller discharge gap gets finer product but lower hourly capacity.
  4. Feeding method: Continuous and even feeding reaches rated capacity; intermittent feeding greatly cuts output.
  5. Wear parts condition: Worn jaw plates will decrease crushing force and product yield.
