Single‑toggle Jaw Crusher

Core motion feature

The eccentric shaft acts directly as the upper suspension point of the swing jaw. The moving jaw presents an elliptical motion: large horizontal swing plus vertical up‑and‑down movement. Material gets squeezing, grinding and rubbing action inside the crushing chamber.

Application scenarios

  1. Primary coarse crushing

    Most widely used for primary crushing of medium‑hard and hard rock: granite, basalt, limestone, river pebble, mine ore. Applied in quarry, mine, concrete aggregate production line.

  2. Mobile crushing station host

    Compact overall structure, light weight, small footprint. It is the preferred main machine for wheel‑type and tracked mobile jaw crushing plants.

Eccentric shaft drives two toggle plates to push the moving jaw. The upper part of swing jaw has nearly pure horizontal swing, very small vertical displacement. Almost no grinding‑rubbing effect between material and jaw liners.

Application scenarios

  1. Processing highly abrasive & extra‑hard raw materials

    Hard quartzite, hard iron ore, abrasive mine rock. Minimal liner abrasion, greatly extends jaw plate service life.

  2. Small‑to‑medium capacity primary crushing & laboratory crushing

    Common for fixed stationary small‑medium crushing stations, also adopted by heavy‑duty lab jaw crushers. Produces less fine powder and over‑crushed products.

  3. Process materials sensitive to over‑crushing

    When production requires to control excessive fine‑grained by‑products, double‑toggle performs better because material is mainly subjected to pure compression crushing.

Limitations in application

  • Complex structure, heavier body, higher equipment cost. Lower crushing capacity compared with same‑size single‑toggle model.
  • Large overall dimension, rarely used on mobile crushing units due to heavy weight.
