Large mine jaw crusher hourly output range introduction
Large mine jaw crusher, also known as primary jaw crusher, is widely used in the first-stage coarse crushing of hard ore and rock in open-pit and underground mines. It breaks massive raw ore by squeezing and bending force between movable jaw plate and fixed jaw plate. The hourly output varies greatly depending on model, feed size, ore hardness, closed side setting and feeding condition.
Hourly output range by common models
- PE600×900 jaw crusher: 50–160 t/h
- PE750×1060 jaw crusher: 110–320 t/h
- PE800×1060 jaw crusher: 130–330 t/h
- PE900×1200 jaw crusher: 220–450 t/h
- PE1000×1200 jaw crusher: 280–500 t/h
- PE1200×1500 jaw crusher: 400–800 t/h
- Super large mining jaw crusher (PE1500×1800 and above): 500–1200 t/h
Note: The above data is the theoretical capacity. The actual hourly output is usually 80%–90% of the theoretical value under stable site operation.
Key factors affecting hourly output
- Ore hardness: High hardness materials (granite, basalt, quartzite) reduce capacity; soft rock or weathered ore gets higher throughput.
- Feed size: Raw ore must be less than the maximum feed opening. Oversized chunks cause blockage and drop production.
- Discharge gap setting: Larger closed side setting gives higher output but coarser product size; smaller gap reduces throughput.
- Feeding method: Continuous and uniform feeding helps maintain rated capacity. Intermittent or overfeeding leads to jam and low efficiency.
- Wear of jaw plates: Worn liner plates weaken crushing performance and decrease hourly output.
Application tips for large mine jaw crusher
- It is designed for primary coarse crushing. It is not suitable for fine crushing; fine crushing task is undertaken by cone crusher or impact crusher in the follow-up process.
- For large-scale mine projects with capacity over 800 t/h, double jaw crushers or gyratory crushers are often recommended as primary crushing equipment.
- Regular inspection of jaw plate, toggle plate and bearing can avoid sudden shutdown and stabilize hourly production.
